<Poem>

<Translation>
The lucid river swerves and holds the village $(in arm)$ ,
On these long summer days the rural life here is all calm .
Swallows come freely in and out the hall of my cottage ,
While gulls snuggle to each other at the water's edge .
Lining a paper chequer my wife bends over her work ,
Knocking a needle my son is making a fishing hook .
A martyr of illness , what I want is medicines ,
What else should I seek for my humble being than these
things ?
